Occupational Accident Insurance (OAI) coverages are now available in Total Recovery Solution® (TRS®)! These coverages can be accessed through the Workers’ Comp/OAI Subro (Special Arb) coverage group on the Incident Details and My Party Information page of TRS.


 
After entering your details on the Incident Details and My Party Information page, you can select the applicable OAI coverage on the Select Coverages page. The following OAI coverages are available for selection:

• OAI Auto Liability
• OAI General Liability

If you are filing for Workers’ Compensation recovery, you must choose from the available Workers’ Compensation Policy coverages. Occupational Accident Insurance (OAI) Policy coverages and Workers’ Compensation Policy coverages are distinct and should be filed separately. It is not recommended to file both types of coverages within the same case.


 
Once you select the applicable coverage, you can proceed with the filing by adding companies to the case, along with liability arguments and damages. All standard TRS functionalities—such as multiple features, evidence attachments, supplements, deferments, inquiries, and notifications—will be available to users filing under OAI.

After the case is successfully submitted, the responding company can respond to the filing. Once the filing is ready to be heard, an arbitrator qualified to handle OAI cases will review the case and render a decision, which will be published in due course.
