After 40 years of dedicated service to AF and our membership, Operations Manager Tim McKernan will retire in March.
Tim began his career in 1985 working in AF’s home office in Tarrytown, New York. During Tim’s career, his leadership has been instrumental to the transformational progress AF has made to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions to the membership. Some of these initiatives that have collectively created significant efficiencies and excellent outcomes for our members include: the transition from numerous field offices to centralized case administration in two data centers; the deployment of E-Subro Hub as the first-of-its-kind, and still no-cost, electronic subrogation platform; the deployment of paperless filing, which eliminated 11 million paper documents annually; and the development and deployment of TRS. Tim has presented at NASP conferences and served as AF’s liaison with New York’s Loss Transfer Advisory Committee on matters pertaining to NY PIP.
Tim’s leadership and contributions have played a key part in building AF’s reputation as a member-driven and trusted intermediary serving the insurance claim industry’s needs as a not-for-profit, with AF’s interests completely aligned and in service to the needs of our members.
Tim’s last day will be March 2, 2026, and all of us here at AF wish him well in his much-deserved retirement.
