Moving Online Filing (OLF) Dockets into Total Recovery Solution® (TRS®)

In our May E-Bulletin, AF announced the sunsetting of Online Filing (OLF) and the migration of OLF dockets into Total Recovery Solution® (TRS®). The transition from OLF to TRS will be supported by Arbitration Forums, Inc. (AF) and will be an interactive process where the parties on the case will be expected to interact with the TRS application and refile the cases with the appropriate information. AF will initiate the first step, the import process, on Monday, September 9, 2024, and continue through Monday, September 30, 2024.

The process for migrating OLF dockets into TRS will work as follows:
  1. The OLF docket information will be imported into TRS and used to create a case. The Recovering Party on the case will receive a notification when their docket is imported into TRS. The Recovering Party will be able to search for their case using the hyperlink in the notification or their docket number in the TRS or OLF applications.
  2. Once AF has imported the data into TRS, the case will no longer be accessible in OLF. Members will be provided with a PDF containing OLF data. All search results for the docket number will direct members to the TRS case.
  3. At this time, the Recovering Party will have all TRS functionality available and will need to update the filing, including their arguments, in TRS. They will also need to enter their damages, along with the feature information, on the Features page. The Recovering Party must upload, attach evidence, and submit their case in TRS. Once submitted, a notification will be sent to the parties on the case. The filing fee will be waived for the TRS-submitted cases as the fee was charged in the initial OLF docket.
  4. The Responding Party(ies) can respond to their case in TRS as they would respond to any other case. For cases imported from OLF, the Responding Party will have 90 days from the date of submission to respond to the case. This extended response timeframe applies only to cases imported from OLF. The time to respond for all other cases in TRS will remain at 30 days. Both parties have the option to defer the case. Standard TRS deferment rules will apply to the cases imported from OLF.

AF will provide training materials and webinars to support members through the refiling process. We hope to make this transition as smooth and efficient as possible. AF will continue to provide updates on the process in our upcoming E-Bulletins.
