On April 4, enhancements to improve the user interface when liability deductibles or self-insured retentions apply to cases were released.
This functionality introduces a question on whether a liability deductible applies. If “Yes” is selected, the user will be required to enter the amount and upload supporting evidence. In addition, the help message that appears when you hover over the question mark next to the liability deductible amount label will clarify that “a liability deductible is the amount the insured is responsible for paying before policy coverage applies.”
These enhancements are intended to eliminate entry errors that are sometimes made.
