E-Subro Hub Metrics Reporting Revisited

In the September 2019 E-Bulletin for E-Subro Hub, the Open Demand Metrics reporting tab was introduced. The original functionality allowed the user to create visualization charts for the Open Demand Detail report as a Demander. On March 26, improved functionality will provide this visualization from the Responder perspective as well. The dashboard page will include Demander and Responder radial selectors.

With this responder enhancement, we want to re-introduce the E-Subro Hub Metrics visualization tool. This AF tool allows users to filter and examine data in an illustrative format, rather than exporting and viewing Open Demands Detail report information in an Excel sheet.

The metrics dashboard tab is available under the current E-Subro Hub report menu. When accessing the dashboard, four visualization charts permit a user to view data in a format that can be refined quickly and consumed efficiently. These charts include:
  • Open Demands by Status
  • Age of Open Demands
  • Demands by Responder – Settled Status
  • Demands by State – Settled Status
As noted above, this data can now be run as a Demander or Responder, depending upon the radial selected.

Open Demands by Status Chart

This is the primary graphic (left above) for the Open Demands Detail report and includes percentage of open demands by acceptance status: Accepted, Denied, In Negotiation, Issued, Pending, and Settled.

The total number of demands will be in the center of the chart. This total is dependent upon the filtering options selected by the user. In this example, the primary filter is the state of loss. By default, the dashboard will include all states. This filter can be refined to states of interest.

The percentage of demands for each represented status are visible around the perimeter of the chart.

Clicking on a status section allows the user to quickly view details using the other three charts.

Age of Open Demands Chart

This chart shows a breakdown of the demands in four time ranges: 0 to 30 days, 31 to 60 days, 61 to 90 days, and 91 plus days.

A bar graph displays the number of demands in the selected status by cycle time range.

Clicking on the bar allows the user to export the detail of the demands in Excel format (see figure below).

Demands by Responder Chart

This chart provides the demands by volume for the top 20 opposing companies.

A bar graph displays the number of demands in the selected status by opposing company.

Clicking on the bar allows the user to export the detail of the demands in Excel format.

Demands by State Chart

This chart shows a breakdown of demands by state of loss using a heat map.

The color of the different states will represent the volume of demands in the selected status. Colors are used to represent the volume of demands by state.

Clicking on a state of loss allows the user to export the detail of the demands in Excel format.

These visualizations allow a member to filter and sort Open Demand Detail data based on what is seen in the charts, which is much different than manipulating the same demand list in a single Excel document.

The metrics reference document and updated training resources are available to view.

We will be adding visualization options to other reports in the future.
